Property developer HBD has made a senior hire in London as it targets urban regeneration and residential schemes across the South East.
Elgan Jones joins HBD as Director, focusing on acquiring and delivering urban development opportunities within London and the South East, including workspace, large-scale mixed use and residential projects.
He brings more than 17 years’ experience delivering successful developments, having held senior roles with the likes of Bellway, NHS Estates, Savills and Cubex. Elgan is also non-executive director at Capsel, part of MHA housing association, and will retain his position as Chairman alongside his new role at HBD.
Elgan said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining HBD and I look forward to working alongside the team to continue growing its £450million development pipeline across London and the South East.”
Ed Hutchinson, managing director of HBD, said: “Urban regeneration is a key part of HBD’s strategy as we continue building our development pipeline and investment portfolio; Elgan brings a huge amount of expertise and will be a real asset to the business in securing new opportunities and developing new partnerships.”
HBD is one of the UK’s most active property developers with seven offices across the country. It focuses on three key sectors; urban regeneration, residential and industrial and logistics.
Its London team is delivering a range of large-scale developments, including Momentum London in Rainham, a high-spec sustainable industrial scheme, Luton’s Butterfield Business Park and Airport Business Park Southend, a joint venture partnership with Southend-on-Sea Borough Council.
